A Slavic Autumn in Soho

A Slavic Autumn in Soho

Our new autumn menu is here: dumplings, warming soups and the food that belongs on the table as the evenings get cooler.

There is something about September that brings us back to the food we grew up with. As the evenings get cooler, our kitchen in Soho fills with the familiar smells of mushrooms and dill, dumplings cooking, pirozhki coming out warm and apples slowly caramelising.

Our new autumn menu is inspired by the kind of Eastern European food that belongs on the table at this time of year: generous, warming and made to be shared.

Dumplings

Lamb pelmeni with sour cream at ZIMA

At the heart of the menu are our new Wagyu Beef & Pork Dumplings with adjika and sour cream, alongside a Selection of Dumplings with lamb pelmeni, smoked cod dumplings and potato and mushroom vareniki.

Warming soups

Solyanka — rich beef, pork and sausage soup at ZIMA

For colder London days, there is Solyanka — a rich soup of beef, pork and sausage with capers and sour cream — and comforting Chicken Bouillon with Pirozhki, served just as it should be: hot and simple.

Blinis & desserts

Tvorog filled blinis with caramelised apples at ZIMA

Autumn mushrooms appear in our Mushroom Filled Blinis with dill butter sauce, while roasted seasonal vegetables are paired with bryndza and pomegranate for something lighter.

For something sweet, Tvorog Filled Blinis come with caramelised apples, while our Zapekanka — a traditional Slavic-style baked cheesecake — is served with blackcurrant jam and fresh mint.

Our new autumn menu arrives this September at our Slavic restaurant in Soho, London. Come in from the busy Soho streets, settle around the table and enjoy the flavours of the season with us.
